Asha Bhosle voices concern over soar in divorce cases among youngsters
Recently, Veteran Playback singer Asha Bhosle voiced her concern on.the younger generation’s approach to marriage, and criticised how quickly they go for divorce sans putting in much effort.
Amidst an interaction with the founder of Art of Living and spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Asha Bhosle asked him why many young couples today were choose to end their marriages so swiftly.
Asha Bhosle has been part of the entertainment industry for many decades, lending her voice to hundreds of actors.
Recounting her own experience, Asha mentioned that when she had issues with her husband, the most she did was go to her mother’s house with their children, but, never never went for divorce with her husband.
She went on to state that nowadays, couples head for divorce papers and asked the spiritual leader why is this happening? To which Sri Ravi Shankar responded, noting that very few people today have the same strength and perseverance Asha has that ‘you kept singing and made everyone happy. You also had faith in god and also the strength to tolerate and deal with troubles,” adding that tolerance levels have diminished significantly among people. He also pointed out that while separations are common, reunions do happen too.
