Meet former beauty queen Nafisa Ali. She got married to a sports star, R S Sodhi.
Nafisa Ali subsequently appeared in several Bollywood movies, including Yamla Pagla Deewana with Dharmendra, Major Sahab with Amitabh Bachchan, and Bewafaa, which also featured Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, and other actors. Nafisa Ali took Sanjay Dutt’s position in the election field. She ran for Lok Sabha in 2004 from south Kolkata but was not successful. She did, however, join the All India Trinamool Congress in October 2021 before the Goa Legislative Assembly election in 2022.
For the unversed, Nafisa Ali was diagnosed with stage 3 peritoneal cancer, a disease that originates in the thin layer of tissue lining the belly.
The veteran actor and politician disclosed that she also has a skin condition called leukoderma in 2020.
