Taking to instagram stories, he re-shared an unseen picture from a fan club celebrating
7 years of Judwaa 2.
Judwaa 2, featuring Varun Dhawan in dual roles, premiered in theaters on September 29, 2017. The film wasn’t only a launching pad for Varun to stardom but also turned an instant success, marking its seventh anniversary today, 30 September 2024.
To perpetuate this landmark, Varun took to his fan-shared image displaying his character from the film posing with Dhawan, with one character playfully holding his stomach. It’s undeniably cute and humorous!
In a chat with the paps, Varun Dhawan once mentioned that his father, David Dhawan, never directly guided or discouraged him from pursuing an acting career. He recalled that instead, his father encouraged him to follow his own aspirations and asked how he intended to become an actor.
As per Varun, as a supportive parent, dad stood by him at every stage of his life, providing him with all the necessary resources and comfort. Varun shared that his father as a filmmaker David never influenced him to do certain things and would never do that.
The only thing that David told Varun is that in case he wanted to become an actor, he shouldn’t damage his name and reputation.
On the work front, Varun will be next seen in Raj and DK’s directorial ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny” with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The Citadel: Honey Bunny teaser ensures to take the audience on a ride filled with thrill, action, and heroism with a dash of 90s charm.
Besides Varun Dhawan, Samantha, and Kay Kay Menon, it also features Saqib Saleem and Sikandar Kher. It will be a part of the Citadel world, also featuring international stars like Richard Madden, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Stanley Tucci, and Lesley Manville. It will be released on Prime Video on November 7, 2024.
Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan will also be seen in the Kalees directorial action thriller ‘Baby John” also featuring Wamiqa Gabbi, Keerthy Suresh, and Jackie Shroff. The film theatrically releases on December 25, 2024.
