Actress Triptii Dimri lands in trouble after she skips Jaipur event
Actress Triptii Dimri is entangled in a cobweb following her failure to attend an event in Jaipur on Monday
which was organised
by the Women Entrepreneurs of FICCI FLO. The event, focused on Nari Shakti (Women Empowerment).
Her absence at the event sparked outrage,
and the women entrepreneurs of FICCI
FLO have called for a boycott of her upcoming film, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video and urged people to blacken her face.
As per reports, Triptii had agreed to attend the event for a fee of
Rs 5.5 lakh. One of the female entrepreneurs involved in organizing the event revealed that they had been told via phone that Triptii would arrive in the next five minutes, but she never showed up. The organizer expressed her disappointment, stating that legal action would be taken against the actor for failing to honor her commitment. She added that Jaipur should boycott Triptii and her film for “cheating” them in this manner.
In a video shared online, one woman can be heard angrily saying, “No one will watch her movies. These celebrities don’t show up after committing. Who does she think she is? She’s not even that famous. We came to see who she is, and still, no one knows her name. She is not worth being called a celebrity.”
Another video shows the event’s organizer blackening a poster of Triptii Dimri on stage in protest, with several women in the crowd shouting, Blacken her face.
One of the organizers further stated, “Jaipur should boycott Triptii Dimri. We will file a case against her. I had transferred half the money and was about to send the rest, but she stopped after being told to wait for 5 minutes. She doesn’t know why, but she gave them half the amount. After taking money and changing times, she disrespected us. Jaipur should boycott her movies.
Responding to the allegations, Dimri’s spokesperson issued a statement to the media saying, “During the ongoing promotional campaign for her film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, Triptii Dimri fully honoured her professional obligations, attending all scheduled events and sessions related to the film. Notably, she did not participate or commit to participate in any personal appearances or events beyond her promotional duties.”
The note went on to add that the actress did not take any fees for the said appearance. “It’s important to clarify that no additional fees or payments were accepted for her involvement in these activities,” the note concluded.
On the work front, Triptii Dimri’s next film, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, co-starring Rajkummar Rao, is slated for release on October 11, 2024.
However, the controversy surrounding her absence from the Jaipur event may cast a shadow over the film’s promotion in the region.
Triptii Dimri was catapulted to sudden fame with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s directorial Animal.
