Oscar Winner A R Rahman boards Hansal Mehta’s Series ‘Gandhi’
The series, directed by Hansal Mehta, features Pratik Gandhi in the titular role

A R Rahman has collaborated with the team of the upcoming Hansal Mehta’s directorial series Gandhi. The makers made the announcement on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on Wednesday. Rahman, considered as one of the biggest musical composer in the world, lends his brilliance to this saga of Indian Independence, elevating the series to new artistic heights. While opening up on the show, A R Rahman revealed in a statement, that watching Gandhiji’s younger life is a revelation, his experiments with truth, life, and so many other things show the evolution of his character. He feels extremely honoured to be scoring the music for this story, in collaboration with Applause Entertainment
The series features Pratik Gandhi in the titular role and is based on Ramachandra Guha’s definitive writings, and ensures to script history, emotion, and sound in ways never before experienced on screen.
Hansal Mehta adds that “Gandhi’ is a deeply human retelling of
