Oscar awardee Music Legend AR Rahman is to headline Mysuru Yuva Dasara 2024

Mysuru Yuva Dasara 2024, organized by Government of Karnataka, is a celebration of culture, creativity, and youth, inviting everyone to come together for an unforgettable experience filled with music, dance, art, and inspiration. As part of the larger Mysuru Dasara, a festival known for its grandeur, tradition, and royal splendor, Yuva Dasara brings youthful energy to the forefront with a stellar lineup of musical performances and cultural showcases.

This year’s Mysuru Yuva Dasara is taking place at a sprawling 100-acre venue near Uttanahalli, on the outskirts of Mysuru, offering ample space to accommodate the large crowds. The District Administration and the Yuva Dasara Sub-Committee made this decision to enhance the overall experience for attendees, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable celebration of music, culture, and tradition.

For the Mysuru Yuva Dasara 2024 event, the Backstage and Technical Production is handled by BTOS Production, with LED displays provided by Pxl Media. The Lighting setup is managed by Media Pro and Stage Gear, while lasers and truss is handled by Reynolds. Scaffolding is arranged by Men at Work and Vidieas, Staging by Udupas Enterprises, and Sound by Sound.com.

This year, the five-day mega event kicked off on October 6, with a performance by playback singer Shreya Ghoshal. Her soulful voice captivated over one lakh people, leaving the audience spellbound and yearning for more. On Day 2, October 7, Dhvani Bhanushali took the stage, delivering hits like ‘Dilbar’ and ‘Koka,’ setting the tone for the night. The highlight of the evening was a performance by Ravi Basrur, the music composer behind the KGF series, along with his talented team. On October 8, the stage lit up with rapper Badshah’s performance, following the opening acts by playback singers Jaskaran Singh and Sangeetha Ravindranath.

On October 9, the Academy Award-winning composer AR Rahman Headlines in the event. Rahman performed not only in Hindi but also in Kannada and Telugu, adding a regional flair to his global appeal. His performance will follow cultural showcases by artists from Mysuru, .

After a series of cultural performances by Kannada cinema artists and independent musicians, Padma Vibhushan Ilaiyaraaja is scheduled on October 10, concluding the festival on a high note.

With nearly 9.3 million tickets sold, the tour has solidified Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres’ Tour status as a global music phenomenon.
