SRK feels it’s better “not to have a sense of humour”
Shah Rukh Khan acknowledged for his box-office success and significant influence on modern pop culture, has always been lauded for his quick wit and sharp sense of humour.
However, he now feels it might be best to “not have a sense of humour” in today’s world. He shared this perspective in a recent conversation.
The actor, few months ago, had attended the Locarno Film Festival where he was a guest on the Locarno Meets podcast. Amidst the chat, he opened up about his desire to explore comedy films while acknowledging that his humour often doesn’t land as expected. He shared that he will be honest. He feels he has an innate sense of humour, and can make people laugh, but it’s very inappropriate times also. So he tries to
control himself. Adding that he was told by my team all the time, people don’t understand your humour.
He also spoke over the increasing sensitivity in society, where many jokes and comedians face backlash for being politically incorrect. “But now people have become very sensitive. You say something, and everybody, somebody gets disturbed. It’s better to not have a sense of humour,” Shah Rukh noted.
