At the 60th edition of the beauty pageant, held at the Famous Studios, Mahalaxmi Mumbai, Nikita Porwal a beacon of Individuality, was crowned Miss India 2024.
It was the18-year-old’s captivating presence and radiant smile that captivated the judges, and winning for her prestigious crown. The last year’s title holder was Nandini Gupta. Adding a touch of nostalgia, Neha Dhupia placed the Miss India sash on the newly crowned winner.
For Nikita, it was a journey of Curiosity and Passion. Born and brought up in the spiritually rich city of Ujjain, Nikita credits her upbringing for shaping her inquisitive mind and critical thinking abilities. She completed her schooling at Carmel Convent Senior Secondary School before pursuing higher education at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
As per Miss Femina, Nikita, in a world often dominated by conformity, stands out as a shining example of individuality and determination. From a young age, her parents encouraged her to question norms, fostering a curiosity that led her to explore her spiritual roots and ignite a passion for storytelling.
She is blessed with a Multifaceted talent
which extend far beyond the realm of academics. Already boasting a repertoire of over 60 plays, including a 250-page self-authored production titled ‘Krishna Leela’, she has dabbled in acting with impressive success. Her dedication to her craft is further evident in her role in the film “Chambal Paar,” which has garnered recognition at international film festivals.
Nikita is a Voice for Animal Welfare and as an ardent animal lover, Nikita is committed to utilizing her platform to advocate for kindness and compassion towards all living beings. Nikita expressed to Miss Femins that Animals welfare is a cause that deeply resonates with her. “The thought of innocent animals suffering due to cruelty and neglect is devastating. As humans, we are not the owners of this planet, but its guardians, responsible for its well-being. Our intelligence and advancements should not only benefit us but also be used to protect and care for the creatures that rely on us.”
She further elaborated, “Through this platform, she aims to raise awareness about the importance of conserving, caring for, and protecting animals. With a large following, I plan to initiate petitions to strengthen and expand animal protection laws in our country.”
She is a Visionary Leader. Amidst the Q&A session, Nikita impressed the audience with her wisdom, demonstrating a balanced approach to tradition and modernity. She stated that she aims to celebrate her Indian heritage while embracing modernity.
