SC rejects plea to reinstate lookout notice to Rhea Chakraborty

The Supreme Court observed that the petition to restore the circulars against Rhea Chakraborty in Sushant Singh Rajput death case was “frivolous” and filed merely because the accused were “high-profile”.

Earlier, Bombay High Court had quashed the Lookout notice against Rhea Chakraborty.

The Supreme Court had dismissed a petition seeking to restore the Look-Out Circulars (LOCs) issued against Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik, and father in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

Reportedly, the bench of Justices BR Gavai and KV Viswanathan rejected the plea filed by Maharashtra, the CBI, and the Bureau of Immigration challenging the Bombay High Court’s quashing of the circular. The bench observed that the petition was “frivolous” and was filed merely because the accused were “high-profile”.
