T-Series honcho Bhushan Kumar, who has been basking on the success of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, recently opened up on his upcoming ventures and father Gulshan Kumar’s biopic. He added that although it wasn’t formally announced, it was widely known that Aamir Khan was associated with the project.

Amidst a conversation Bhushan shared that they had a script before, but it was disapproved by his mother. Hence, they had to make adjustments. He shared, that they are still writing it and were ready with it earlier, it was superb, even though they officially didn’t announce and everyone knew that Aamir Khan was going to be a part of it. He still wants to, he always tells him, it is the best script he has read in recent times. But his mother, wanted to tell the story from one perspective and we wrote the script from another perspective.”

Further adding that obviously, he cannot make a film on his father if mother is not convinced about it. Once she is convinced, which she will eventually do, the world will get to witness a very inspiring story. For now, they are reworking on the script.” Bhushan insisted that they don’t intend to whitewash the events of his father’s life with the film and said, they are not whitewashing it, just revamping a few things and also shared how the film will show incidents about Gulshan Kumar that the world doesn’t know about, they are not even available on the internet. His mother also wants the world to know some stories about him that a lot of people don’t know.

In 1983, Gulshan Kumar, the father of Bhushan Kumar, founded the T-Series. After the company began making movies, the brand expanded in the 1990s and rose to prominence as one of the largest music companies in the Hindi film industry. At the age of 46, Gulshan Kumar was shot and killed in Mumbai in 1997. In 2002, Abdul Rauf was found guilty of the murder of Gulshan Kumar.
