Vivek Oberoi has often asserted the importance of financial independence.
Notwithstanding a promising start in Bollywood, Vivek Oberoi slowly faded away from films. However, at sn young age, he had learnt the power of diversifying his assets which has helped him build an opulent life for himself.
In a recent chat, Vivek mentioned how his business ventures allowed him to live a good life and said that they enabled him to follow his passion for acting.
Vivek Oberoi said, “Acting is his passion and business is the enabler. It has got him to a point where he can pursue his passion purely. There’s no compulsion to do something that he doesn’t be enjoying or bow to a lobby or do any of that. It has given him that freedom.

That’s why he keeps telling people to build their economic independence, to build themselves to a position that allows them to achieve their dreams, their children’s dreams. Money can buy you your freedom, it can create a sense of peace and security,” Oberoi told in an interview.
The actor also revealed that Vivek his father, Suresh Oberoi, taught him the importance of being financially independent from an early age. He said, “He wanted us to be independent. Amidst summer holidays, he would say, ‘Two months of holidays, the second month will be luxury, where we will go somewhere, travel, and the first month would be about work’.
Vivek Oberoi has often spoken about the importance of investing and learning how to manage one’s finances. Vivek Oberoi started investing in the stock market when he was 16 years old. The actor has a series of investments to his name. He collaborates with brands in Dubai as a businessman and also owns several fin-tech companies. He also owns Oberoi Mega Entertainment – an event and film production house. He has also dipped his toes in real estate with Karma Infrastructure. Additionally, he has also co-founded a university and runs a non-profit.
