The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (Iskcon) has urged India to intervene and initiate quick action and engage with Bangladesh to release one of their prominent priest Chinmoy Krishna Das, detained in Bangladesh.
Iskcon has strongly contradicted their involvement in terrorist activities worldwide and allegations are unfounded and unacceptable.
Further adding that they are upset over the disturbing reports that Dhaka Police had detained Chinmoy Krishna Das, one of the prominent leaders of Iskcon Bangladesh.
Islcon Inc, has claimed that it is outrageous to make baseless allegations that Iskcon has anything to do with terrorism anywhere in the world. It has urged the Government of India to take immediate steps and speak to the Government of Bangladesh and convey that they are a peace-loving Bhakti movement
The arrest took place when detectives apprehended Chinmoy Krishna Das near Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
