The 13th death anniversary of Hindi Cinema’s , evergreen actor-producer-director Dev Anand was on December 3. He departed from mortal world to immortal word following a cardiac arrest in his room at London’s The Washington Mayfair Hotel on December 3, 2011 at 88.

His two brothers Chetan Anand and Vijay Anand were great filmmakers. His son Suneil Anand couldn’t make it look as a successful actor.

He was acknowledged for his style and charming personality. 
He acted in over 100 films and was recognised for his romantic roles. 

His first film was Hum Ek Hain, which he made in 1946. 
He was a fan of actor Ashok Kumar and was inspired to become an actor after seeing him in Achhut Kannya and Kismat. 

He got his first break after entering the Prabhat Film Studio and being offered a role in the film Hum Ek Hain by Babu Rao Pai. 
His son is actor and film director Suneil Anand. 

Dev Anand was married to actress Kalpana Kartik. Their chemistry was so strong that it carried over from thr screen to real life.
