Ashwin mentions four Indian teammates amidst retirement speech
In the midst of his
retirement speech on Wednesday after the 3rd Test amid the on-going India- Australia, Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Ravichandran Ashwin made special mention for Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara.
Ashwin’s retirement (un-anticipated) from International Cricket comes after the veteran off-spinner’s distinguished cricketing career spanning 14 years.
Ashwin also thanked the Australian team who have been fierce competitors over a number of years, he has enjoyed his team playing against them.
He also went on to state that though he has stopped as a cricketer, but will carry and be involved with the game, it’s a game which has given him a lot.
Meanwhile, Ashwin will jet-back to India immediately and will not accompany the side to Melbourne and Sydney for India final two Tests in the BGT.
