Akshay Kumar relying on good script and banner
With back-to-back flop films, the once comedy king Akshay Kumar is reeling through one of the worst phases in his career.
Following the outbreak of pandemic in 2021, Akshay’s career took a big hit. His last few films proved a debacle at the box-office.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, caused the producers a loss of about 250 crores. It
was followed by Sarfira and Khel Khel Mein, both of which were decent.
This downward graph is probably because the audience seem to be in no mood to see more of him and his films
back-to-back.
The actor was once acknowledged for his comedic roles in films like Welcome and Hera Pheri. But now, his acting skills and project choices haven’t been sitting right with the audience.
In August, the actor took a break from acting, back in August, following the release of Khel Khel Mein. In the following four months, no film of the actor got released.
In a desperate attempt to transform the ambit of his career, Akshay Kumar is coming with a new film- Skyforce.
Dinesh Vijan produces the film alongwith Maddock Films, the production house that gave blockbuster film Stree 2 this year.
Not Just Pushpa 2, another headache for Baby John
Maddock Films is currently one of the top banners in the industry. They delivered back-to-back hit films. Teri Baaton Mein Uljha Jiya was a decent hit, and Munjya and Stree 2 did well with the audience.
Is Akshay Kumar banking on the banner of hit films to attract an audience for his new release?
Skyforce is a patriotic film that will be released on the Republic Day weekend. It could attract a good audience.
But will it be a film that gives Akshay Kumar a much-comeback?
