Former PM Dr.Manmohan Singh passes away at 92
Former Prime Minister and Congress veteran passed away at the age of 92 in New Delhi. He was admitted to the emergency department of AIIMS hospital on Thursday evening.
The 92-year-old leader was brought to the emergency department of AIIMS Delhi in a critical condition on Thursday evening. The reason for his hospitalisation was not immediately known.
The Former retired from the Rajya Sabha earlier this year — ending a 33 year stint within the Upper House of Parliament.
Priyanka Gandhi and other leaders from across party lines have also arrived at AIIMS Delhi earlier in the evening.
The hospital in a statement said
with profound grief, they inform the demise of the former Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh, aged 92. He was being treated for age-related medical conditions and had a sudden loss of consciousness at home on 26 December 2024. Resuscitative measures were started immediately at home. He was brought to the Medical Emergency at AIIMS, New Delhi at 8:06 PM. Despite all efforts, he could not be revived and was declared dead at 9:51
