Tabu Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan reunite for the later’s directorial ‘Bhooth Bangla’ is a
much-anticipated horror-comedy. The film will feature Wamiqa Gabbi.
The release is set for April 2, 2026.
Following her recent work in Dune Prophecy, the versatile actor revealed that she has been cast in the much-anticipated horror-comedy. On Saturday, Tabu shared a glimpse of her first day on set, exciting fans on the new collaboration.
The trio is fondly remembered for their iconic work in the cult classic Hera Pheri. Tabu shared a picture of a clapboard with candles placed in the foreground on Saturday. The text on the clapboard read, “Balaji Telefilms Ltd Presents Bhooth Bangla.”

Priyadarshan’s directorial Bhoot Bangla is produced by

Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali. The story is written by Akash A Kaushik and the screenplay by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair and Priyadarshan. The dialogues are by Rohan Shankar.
As per reports, Wamiqa Gabbi has joined Akshay’s film. Bhooth Bangla is a horror comedy where Akshay is believed to play the role of a magician alongside three female actors. The movie is based on black magic. It will release in theatres on April 2, 2026.
