Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who is all set for the release of his upcoming movie Emergency, is busy promoting the political drama along with actress-director Kangana Ranaut.
Ahead of the release of the film, Anupam Kher on Monday, had a meeting with Union Minister of Railways, Ashwini Vaishnaw.
Taking to social media, he posted a photo with the BJP leader and expressed his gratitude through a thoughtful message.
He wrote: “Thank you Hon. Railways and I & B minister Sh. @AshwiniVaishnaw ji for your warmth and appreciation. It was wonderful to meet you today in your office. Your work zeal and earnestness is infectious! May you continue to excel! Jai Ho!”
Earlier on Sunday, Kangana Ranaut had breakfast with the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways of India, Nitin Gadkari who attended the special screening of ‘Emergency’ with Kangana Ranaut and Anupam Kher
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Kangana shared a picture of herself enjoying breakfast in the company of the BJP politician. She wrote on the photo, “Aaj subah breakfast with honourable @gadkari.nitin ji.”
This came after Gadkari praised the film and said during a speech, “It is a beautiful movie that shows how and when the Emergency was imposed and the struggles faced by our workers.
Many were jailed under the Maintenance of Internal Security Act and endured hardships.”

After facing delay due to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) certificate, Emergency is finally set to release in theatres on January 17.
In the film, based on the “darkest chapter in the history of India,” Kangana plays the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. She has also directed the project, also starring Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Satish Kaushik and others.
