Ameesha Patel has taken us on a trip down memory lane by sharing a with Hrithik Roshan on social media. The picture is also a treat for her huge fan following.
Ameesha and Hrithik still hold a special place in the heart’s of their everloving fans. It’s been 25 years ever since the release of the super duper film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, still the scenes, songs and the mind blowing locations keeps haunting.
Ameesha has shared the picture on Instagram, where she and Hrithik can be seen enjoying a lovely evening. Captioning the post, she wrote, “About last nite — lovely evening with SONIA’s ROHIT — for me you will always be my Duggu BROSNAN first and then @hrithikroshan the superstar later.” The affectionate reference to their iconic characters, Sonia and Rohit, from Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai instantly sent fans into a frenzy.
No sooner the post went live, social media was flooded with love and admiration. Fans couldn’t help but reminisce on the film that made Hrithik an overnight sensation and established Ameesha as a promising talent in Bollywood. This reminds us of Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia in Raj Kapoor’s “Bobby”. But, the songs the location etc were not to the ones in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai. Hats off to Rakesh Roshan for shooting some of the scenes and song in Virgin Island. Especially the title song shot which is in a breathtaking location.
Their fans infact called them “OG Bollywood Jodi” and expressing their desire to see them reunite on-screen. One user wrote, “This brings back so many memories! We need another film with you two!” while another added, “Sonia and Rohit forever!”
The Rakesh Roshan directorial Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, was a blockbuster success and remains one of the most celebrated romantic films of Bollywood. Hrithik’s dual role and Ameesha’s charismatic presence made it a cult classic. What”s incredible is that even after 25 years, their chemistry continues to enthrall the cinema-going audiences.
While Hrithik has gone on to become one of Bollywood’s top superstars, and Ameesha recently made a comeback with Gadar 2, their on-screen pairing is still cherished. This latest picture was not just a moment of nostalgia but a reminder of an era that defined Bollywood romance for an entire generation.
