Popular Rapper and Singer Honey Singh recently started his Millionaire India Tour with an incredible performance in Mumbai.
In the midst of his concerture, he put a fresh and inclusive spin on Diljit Dosanjh’s well-known phrase, “Punjabi aa gaye oye,” emphasizing unity among different communities across India.
In the midst of addressing the crowd, Honey Singh articulated that everyone is part of one big family, and in lieu of highlighting only one community, he chose to include multiple regional identities in his statement. He was heard saying, “We are all family, we are one. So, he won’t just say ‘Punjabi aa gaya oye.’ I’ll say, ‘Punjabi aa gaya oye, Marathi aa gaya oye, Gujarati aa gaya oye, Bihari aa gaya oye, Bangali aa gaya oye, Mallu aa gaya oyeíî… we are one.’”
