Infact, “Dum Laga Ke Haisha” was Bhumi Pednekar’s debut film co-featuring Ayushmann Khurrana.
The audience accepted and loved the film. It’s a landmark and she penned a long note. She has also shared that she watched the film with her family in theatres.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Bhumi shared scenes and wrote, “10 Years To Dum Laga Ke Haisha AYUSHMANN KHURRANA 10 years ago, she watched Dum laga ke Haisha for the 1st time. Full of nerves, an emotional mess cause she couldn’t believe she was in a film. She was there watching her childhood dream come alive. And 10 years later, she. watched it all over again in a theatre with people she loves and those that love the film and her heart was is so full that little girl that dreamt of being a leang la hubhumipednekary, of knowing how, had done it. She couldn’t have asked for a better way to enter the films. My dearest ayushmannk. Thank you for being the best co actor/friend. You are so so special as Prem. Couldn’t have done it without you.”
Bhumi also shared a video in which she is seen interacting with fans in theatres. Bhumi wrote, “A big thank you to everyone that came yesterday and relived this beautiful film. It was so special. The laughs, the cries and just the joy of seeing movie that moves everyone so deeply is beyond words can explain. Thank you aap mere back bone ho.”
In the film, Ayushmann plays a disgruntled high-school dropout who reluctantly marries an.
educated but overweight girl. Initially hesitant about their marriage, he gradually falls in love with her after they participate in a race. Made on a budget of Rs 14 crore, the film was a hit, earning Rs 113 crore at the box office.
On the work front, Bhumi is currently seen in Mere Husband Ki Biwi with Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh. The film has been doing well at the box office.
