No doubt, the ongoing Champions Trophy 2025 has pushed every cricket fanatic to their toes. It never spared even the Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan.

On Sunday, March 2, the legendary actor found himself caught in a moment of despair amidst India’s match against New Zealand.

When India lost the three stalwarts Rohit Sharma Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill early, the senior Bachchan was
convinced that the Men in Blue were heading towards defeat. So that’s why he decided to switch off his TV mid-way. But much to his surprise, there was a sudden twist in the game as New Zealand started losing wickets
India clinched a victory, defeating New Zealand.

After thumping win, the senior Bachchan as always, took to his X account to share this thought on India’s remarkable win. He wrote, “I thought we were going to lose the New Zealand game, so switched off the TV. But we won. What a match INDIA!!! Congratulations
Immediately after his post, fans flooded the comment section with some hilarious remarks.

As the Men in Blue have now finished as Group A toppers and are set to face Australia in the first semi-final in Dubai on Tuesday, March 4.

In other news, Amitabh Bachchan, known
for his heartfelt letters, wrote one to Ranbir Kapoor upon receiving a pair of sneakers from his recently launched lifestyle brand, ARKS. The latter announced the launch of his new brand on his birthday in 2024.

The 82-year-old Bollywood legend wrote the thank-you note, praising Ranbir and wishing him the very best for his future.

On March 2, ARKS’ official Instagram account shared a glimpse of the sweet note in its story. The message read: “Dearest Ranbir, My gratitude for your gift of the ARKS sneakers. Love tried them on and wore them to work. They are rather nice and comfortable! All good wishes to you and your endeavour. Lots of love (sic).”

On the work front, the 82-year-old veteran actor was seen in two films in 2024. First in Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD as Ashwatthama. Next, in Vettaiyan, featuring Rajinikanth. He will be next seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming mythological epic Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi.
