PM Modi pays tribute to ‘Nari Shakti’ on International Women’s Day’

On International Women’s Day on 8 March, PM Modi paid tribute to ‘Nari Shakti,’ acknowledging the strength and contributions of women.

Taking to his X post he. announced that his social media platforms would be taken over by women from diverse fields to highlight their accomplishments.
He went on to say that “We bow to our Nari Shakti on WomensDay! Our government has always worked towards empowering women, which is reflected in our schemes and programmes. Today, as promised, his social media accounts will be taken over by women who have made a mark in various fields!

Earlier, on February 23, PM Modi had announced that, as a special gesture, he would hand over his social media accounts—including X and Instagram—to a select group of inspiring women on March 8. These women would use the platforms to share their work and experiences with the nation.

Notably in the 119th episode of Mann Ki Baat, PM elaborated on this initiative, stating that women excelling in various fields would share their achievements, experiences, and challenges with the country.

He went on to say that Women have achieved success in different fields, introduced innovations, and made a distinct mark. On March 8, they will share their journey with the nation.

Adding “the platform may be mine, but the stories, challenges, and achievements discussed will be theirs,”
PM Modi also invited women to participate in this initiative via the NAMO App and encouraged them to use this opportunity to spread their messages globally.

He further urged that on this Women’s Day, let us celebrate and honor the indomitable power of women.
