Kushi Kapoor to lead Sridevi’s Mom sequel reveals Boney Kapoor
Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s youngest daughter Kushi will lead ‘MOM’ sequel. This was recently revealed by Boney Kapoor.
Notably, MOM was the last theatrical release of Sridevi and released in 2017 and in which she played a fierce mother who would go to any extent to save her daughter.
The movie also fetched Sridevi the National Award in the Best Actress category (posthumously). It is cited as one of the best performances of her career. But it looks like the actress’ husband and movie’s producer, Boney Kapoor, has plans to make a sequel.
Boney revealed to the media amidst the IIFA Awards 2025 green carpet, he has never watched all of Khushi’s films. Plans are afoot by Boney to produce a film with her too after ‘No Entry.’. It would be a movie with Khushi. It could be ‘Mom 2.’. She is trying to follow in the footsteps of her mother. Her mother was the top star in all the languages she worked in. Boney hopes Khushi and Janhvi succeed in this same level of perfection.
Boney Kapoor also shared a major update on the No Entry sequel. Kapoor stated, “It (No Entry) will go sometime in July-August. There are too many leading ladies, so he just can’t talk about a few now.
Meanwhile, Khushi Kapoor appeared in her third film with Netflix’s Nadaaniyan. Also featuring Ibrahim Ali Khan, it has received mixed reviews from critics but the audience has severely bashed it.
The film marks Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s son Ibrahim’s debut in the film industry.
