Shah Rukh Khan’s flop film ruined Fardeen Khan’s career
Unsoubtedly, Shah Rukh Khan is an emotion to lakhs of people in India. The actor is acknowledged as the ‘King of Romance’ and even ‘King Khan’. Even as the majority of the films he did turned out to be super hits, there were some films that were not received well at the box office.
Not only that, but one particular film featuring SRK turned out to be a flop and allegedly affected an actor’s career. And the actor is veteran actor-filmmaker Feroz Khan’s son Fardeen Khan and the film is ‘Dulha Mil Gaya’.
Fardeen is the son of Bollywood veteran actor Feroz Khan.
Fardeen embarked in his acting journey with Prem Aggan, helmed by his father Feroz Khan.However, the movie did not do well at the box office. Over the years, Fardeen gave several flop films. Later, his movie Heyy Babyy became a hit. But, the film did not benefit Fardeen much. His
last film was Dulha Mil Gaya, also featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Sushmita Sen. The film was a romantic comedy, and SRK had a special appearance.
Sadly, the movie did not work its magic at the box office. Despite having Shah Rukh Khan, the movie did not do well at the box office.
As per trade film magazines ‘Box Office’ India, Dulha Mil Gaya was made at a cost of whopping Rs 22 crores and did business of only Rs 3.08 crores across the country.
This was the point when Fardeen took a hiatus from cinema. The actor was not seen for the next 14 years.
Later in 2024, Fardeen returned with a bang. He featured in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s series, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, where he essayed the role of Wali Mohammed, a nawab. The Netflix show turned out to be a huge hit, and Fardeen finally received his due recognition.
Later, Fardeen also featured in Akshay Kumar’s film Khel Khel Mein, which was released on August 15, 2024. However, this film also did not perform well at the box office.
