This series started with the Agha family. Actor Agajan Beg, who is known as Agha. He was a popular comedian and worked in the cinema for several decades. Agha’s acting was compared to Hollywood actor Bob Hope. It is worth noting that Agha is Tinu Anand’s father-in-law.
Agha worked in the film industry from 1935 to 1986, i.e., for five decades. Aga’s father was from Iran and came to India in search of work. Agha started his career as a production manager in the year 1933. He worked in films like Stree Dharm, Daulat, Rangeela Babu, Anuradha, Mohabbat Ki Jeet, Kala Paani, Taxi Driver, Ghunghat, to Navrang.
Agha’s daughter Shahnaz Vahanvati worked in Amitabh Bachchan’s film Woh Saat Hindustani. His second daughter Shahoor, did modeling in the 70s and worked in many advertisements. Agha’s son rejected the film offered by his father. Tinu was married to Shahnaz. Tinu himself is the son of writer Indraraj Anand. Tinu’s brother is Bitu, whose son is director Siddharth Anand. Siddharth is in the news these days for Shah Rukh Khan’s film King.
