After the Pahalgam terror attack in which 26 innocent lives were lost, Ranbir Kapoor has made a big decision.
It has been two weeks since the Pahalgam terror attack, and the anger still lingers, the mourning has not ended. The incident took place on April 22 in Pahalgam, Kashmir.
Many Bollywood personalities have spoken their mind and taken a stand in the aftershock of the Pahalgam terror attack on the 26 innocent civilians who were there as tourists on vacation.
Little did they could have imagined their vacation will end in bloodbath.
Following Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, who deferred work related to their upcoming releases as a mark of respect, Ranbir Kapoor has also joined in.
Ranbir Kapoor has made a significant decision that’s for sure will make his fans proud.
One of the most anticipated films of the year is Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi. The first part is set to release amidst Diwali 2026, with the second part currently in production and scheduled for Diwali 2027. Fans have been eagerly waiting to catch the first glimpse of Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious project.
While the teaser was initially planned to be unveiled at WAVES 2025, a major decision has now been made regarding its release.
The entire team is reportedly in agreement with his decision to defer the Ramayana Teaser release.

Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is being produced by Namit Malhotra, with Yash serving as the co-producer. Confirming the update at the WAVES Summit, as per Namit Malhotra they had plans to show a glimpse of ‘Ramayana’ at WAVES 2025, but it has been deferred on the grounds of the situation in Pahalgam.
After the announcement from the makers, it appears they are now waiting for the right time to unveil the teaser.
Malhotra further explained that the team is committed to honouring the soul of the epic while modernising Ramyana’s storytelling to connect with global viewers.
“Ramayana deserves to be localised, to be told in every tongue, in every corner of the world,” he added.
