Somaiya Film School hosts 5-Day Summer Workshop on Sound & Image
The Somaiya Film School, under Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Vidyavihar, gears up to host a five-day summer workshop for students of Class 8 and above, focusing on the role of sound and image in storytelling and cinema. The workshop commences at the Vidyavihar campus from May 26-to-30.
Moulded to kindle young imaginations, the program will include interactive sessions, curated screenings of films and animations, and in-depth discussions on the magic of cinematic story-narration Participants will explore how sound and visuals combine to enhance narrative and emotional experience in cinema.
The workshop will be conducted by Shri Brigudev Ranade, a young storyteller, artist, and animator trained at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Shri Narayan Parasuram, acclaimed music composer, co-founder of Karadi Tales, and one of the key figures behind Dhwani Chitram – The Somaiya Film School.
The registration fee is at Rs. 1,000, which includes lunch for all five days.
Students interested in exploring the creative depths of storytelling through cinema are encouraged to register soon, as seats are limited.
