Karnataka HC grants interim relief over controversial remarks
After his unintentional remark at Bengaluru concert sparked controversy, and after all those comments now renowned singer Sonu Nigam gets relief as the Karnataka High Court has granted interim relief in the case filed against him over his alleged remarks about Kannadigas during a concert in Bengaluru. The court ordered that no coercive action be taken against him, but told him to fully cooperate with the inquiry.

The relief follows
Sonu’ Nigam’s plea on May 14 seeking to quash a First Information Report (FIR) registered at Avalahalli police station in Bengaluru Rural district. The FIR was based on media reports and a third-party complaint, which alleged that remarks made amidst a concert in a Bengaluru college had hurt the sentiments of Kannadigas.
