Gautam Gambhir lauds BCCI for dedicating IPL 2025 closing ceremony to Armed Forces
India Head Coach Gautam Gambhir lauds BCCI for having decided to dedicate the closing ceremony of IPL 2025 to the Indian Armed Forces and that they will pay tribute for their “heroic effort” amidst the “Operation Sindoor”
Operation Sindoor. The board has invited all three chiefs of Indian armed forces for the IPL final slated to be held in Ahmedabad on June 3.
Gautam Gambhir further asserts that there shouldn’t be any India-Pakistan cricket ties till terroris ends.
While General Upendra Dwivedi is the Chief of Army Staff, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi is the Naval Chief. Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh is the Chief of Air Staff.
Gambhir further quoted that it is an unbelievable step taken by the BCCI has taken a from a point of view where the entire nation is one and the nation has to salute the armed forces…He credits BCCI and the Armed Forces, for unconditionally helping, saving and protecting us
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia that the Board BCCI salutes the “bravery, courage, and selfless service” of the country’s armed forces.
“As a tribute, they have decided to dedicate the closing ceremony to the armed forces and honor our heroes. While cricket remains a national passion, there is nothing greater than the nation and its sovereignty, integrity, and security of our country.
