Shariva Parulkar croons for Sitaare Zameen Par 
Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par is a spiritual sequel to Taare Zameen Par. It features a song by intern Shariva Parulkar, who gets her big break alongside Arijit Singh.
Abruptly, Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par.has emerged the talk of the town for varied reasons. Firstly, fans are excited to see their favourite star return to the big screen after a three-year hiatus. Secondly, the film has
an emotional significance as the spiritual sequel to the 2007 superhit Taare Zameen Par.
Amidst the growing excitement, the makers released the melodious song, Sar Aankhon Pe Mere. The track turned out to be a Cinderella moment for Shariva Parulkar, Aamir Khan’s marketing intern, who sang alongside Arijit Singh as a female playback singer.
Sitaare Zameen Par releases on June 20.
In the first instance Sar Aankhon Pe Mere was recorded by Shariva Parulkar as a scratch version in Chennai, as around that time no other singer was available. Aamir and director RS Prasanna were so impressed by her rendition that they decided to keep her vocals for the final version.
Remarkably, a girl who took up singing merely as a hobby has made an outstanding debut as a playback singer in an Aamir Khan film – the tale behind the song is even more beautiful.
In a dream-come-true moment, Shariva lent her voice to Sar Aankhon Pe Mere, and performed alongside Arijit Singh. She has also worked with him on Laal Singh Chaddha, which marked a special beginning for a promising new voice.
Notably Aamir Khan Productions in Sitaare Zameen Par, has introduced 10 growing actors in Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.
Produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions, Sitaare Zameen Par features Aamir Khan and Genelia Deshmukh in lead roles.
The lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, with the musical score by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The screenplay is crafted by Divy Nidhi. Sitaare Zameen Par is releases in theaters on June 20, 2025.
