Genelia D’Souza slams Bollywood for sidelining her after marriage
Renowned actress Genelia D’Souza, wife of actor-turned filmmaker Riteish Deshmukh has slammed Bollywood for sidelining her after marriage. She is currently all set for the release of Aamir Khan starrer Sitaare Zameen Par,set to hit the screens on 20th June.
About Bollywood, Genelia voiced that
when people got to know she is doing Sitaare Zameen Par, everybody said, ‘Oh my god! So lucky! You’re doing an Aamir Khan film!” She hit back saying “any doubts?”
Ofcourse, she is doing Sitaare Zameen Par. So very nice of Aamir Khan’s bigness that he saw something in her and made me audition.
Other producers took her otherwise that she is married think I’m married, so doesn’t need this character.
Genelia sees a ses-change in the trend of filmmaking as of today.
Agreed It’s very important that if you want a character of a certain age, you should cast someone of that age. When they cast an actor who’s much younger than the character she.played, they can’t understand the little-little things of it. It’s equally important to cast right.
