Kollywood Musician Anirudh Ravichander to wed Kavya Maran, ‘Sunrisers’ owner
It is learned that the acclaimed South Indian composer and playback singer Anirudh Ravichander gears up to wed Kavya Maran, owner of IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad.
The couple, who have been in whirlwind romance since 2024, are for their
star-studded wedding, though there is no official announcement of it as yet.
The 33-year-old Kavya, daughter of media mogul Kalanithi Maran (Sun Group chairman), is a popular face at IPL matches, often seen cheering passionately for her team. Her animated reactions-whether celebrating victories or lamenting losses-frequently make waves on social media.
Whereas Anirudh is a sought-after music director in both South Indian cinema and Bollywood.
He is a top-paid music director of the Tamil film industry. In a span of 13 years, he has scored music for most of the top actors in Tamil and Telugu movies. He has composed songs for the stars such as Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Vijay, Ajith, Suriya, Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu and Junior NTR among others.
The couple’s recent outing in a restaurant has sparked further speculation about their impending nuptials.
Anirudh hails from a family deeply rooted in the entertainment industry-his father, Ravi Raghavendra, is an actor, his mother, Lakshmi, a classical dancer, and his aunt, Latha, is married to legendary actor Rajinikanth. His great-grandfather, K. Subramanyam, was a pioneering filmmaker in the 1930s.
Anirudh’s musical journey has been one of dedication and passion. Trained in piano at London’s Trinity College and holding a diploma in sound engineering, he first gained recognition as part of a school band that won a reality show judged by Oscar-winning composer A.R.
