Ironically, 61 Rajasthan based Indian citizens most of them chartered accountants and their families, are presently stranded in Georgia after their return flight was cancelled owing to escalating military tensions amid Israel and Iran.

The group, which includes three residents from Jaisalmer, was supposed to return home on Friday but found themselves caught in the crossfire of international flight cancellations.

The travellers, are part of a delegation organised by the Rajasthan Tax Consultants Organisation under the leadership of Ratan Goyal, and were in Georgia for a residential refresher course from June 8 to June 13.

Among those stranded are Jaisalmer resident Pramod Bhatia’s son Bhavik Bhatia, daughter-in-law Sakshi and grandson Kiyansh, who had plans to fly back to Jaipur via Sharjah on an Air Arabia flight on Friday. They are now waiting for their available flight to India.
