After the tragic Air India Dreamliner AI171 crash in Ahmedabad, passengers are encountering significant disruptions as numerous international flights to and from India face cancellations and operational suspensions.

Reportedly, Technical concerns, fleet availability, and crew readiness contribute to the chaos, leaving travelers stranded with last-minute notifications and inadequate support.

Among those flights affected and thus causing disruptions, inconveniencing and frustrating passengers are many Air India flights and Azerbaijan Airlines service.

Passengers flying in and out of India particularly, the frequent businessmen encountered widespread disruptions, with several international flights that remained cancelled or not operating on Tuesday, June 17.

The ongoing irregularities follow the deadly crash of AI171 last week, a Dreamliner bound for London, that killed all 241 onboard and has since intensified operational scrutiny and technical checks within the airline.

As of Tuesday, at least seven international flights, mostly departing from Delhi and Mumbai were cancelled or marked non-operational. Over the weekend, a San Francisco–Mumbai service was held up in Kolkata, while a Hong Kong–Delhi Dreamliner had to return to its origin shortly after take-off due to a suspected technical snag. Earlier on Tuesday noon, the new AI159 service from Ahmedabad to London, introduced after retiring the AI171 number, was also cancelled.
