Shreya Ghoshal’s debut into music industry was with “Devdas”
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial film “Devdas” has clocked 23 years of its release.
The film is acknowledged for its beautiful sets, deep emotions, powerful performances, and memorable music.
But, Devdas also gave the world a very special gift, the voice of Shreya Ghoshal. In 2002, when the film was made, Shreya Ghoshal was just 18 years old. She had won a singing show on TV, and Sanjay Leela Bhansali noticed her talent. He gave her the chance to sing for Devdas. That was her first time singing in a film.
Shreya sang songs like Silsila Ye Chaahat Ka, Bairi Piya, Chalak Chalak, and Dola Re Dola. Her voice was fresh, sweet, and full of emotion. People loved her singing, and many said her voice made the songs even more special. One of her songs, Bairi Piya, became a huge hit all over India.
