CM Devendra Fadnavis turns 55 – book titled “Maharashtra Nayak” unveiled on his birthday
On the occasion of the 55th birthday of CM Devendra Fadanvis, book a coffee book
titled “Maharashtra Nayak” was released.
NCP(SP) chief Sharad Pawar showered praise for the BJP leader.
The book is conceptualised by senior BJP leader Girish Mahajan and features an article penned by Sharad Pawar in which he has said Fadnavis’s pace of work is “tremendous”.
In the article Sharad has quoted that the speed at which Devendra works is remarkable… Watching his dedication and energy, he often wonder how does he never get tired?”he has also commended his strong work ethic and efficiency. Sharad Pawar’s text in Marathi translated in English reads as under:
‘When I see Devendra Fadnavis, the way he works, I remember my days as CM of Maharashtra. On his birthday, I wish him that his zeal for work should grow every year. Usually they say an active person is slim and trim, but both of us are not but very much active. Jokes apart, the way he works, many a times I think that how does he not get tired? Though Devendra Fadnavis got his lessons of politics at home since childhood, the main challenge for him was to rise through the ranks after his father and mentor passed away when he was very young. That’s why, one must compliment him for his achievements and success. Devendra Fadnavis has a degree in law and is also a good communicator. His intelligence, patience and communication skills helped him to make a mark in Maharashtra politics when he was not even in power. The way he worked as a state BJP president further helped him to become the CM of Maharashtra. Both of us are from different streams but still relentlessly work for people; in such a scenario, one cannot deny the pace of work of Devendra Fadnavis.’
He extended wishes to Fadnavis, who also shares his birthday with deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar – Sharad Pawar’s estranged nephew and the leader of the NCP, which is part of the ruling Mahayuti.
After days of speculation over the dynamics between the two – owing to cheeky comments by the CM and an innocuous meeting or two – Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray also extended birthday wishes to Fadnavis. He has hinted at a possibility that Fadnavis may take on a significant national role in the future.
Deputy CM Ajit Pawar also wished Fadnavis on his birthday. “Heartfelt birthday wishes to the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and my colleague, Devendraji Fadnavis! May you be blessed with excellent health and a long life,” he posted on X.
PM Modi Modi also wished both Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar. To Fadnavis, he said: “Best wishes to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on his birthday. He’s working tirelessly for Maharashtra’s progress and empowering the poor and downtrodden. May he lead a long and healthy life in service of the people.”
