Amidst a charged and combative debate in the Monsoon Session of the Parliament, the Lok Sabha, on Monday, witnessed a rare moment of bipartisan appreciation as NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) MP Supriya Sule publicly praised PM Modi for displaying what she called a “big heart.”
In a statement that stood out amid heated exchanges over Operation Sindoor and the Pahalgam terror attack, Surpiya Sule said that the ruling party has shown a “big heart” by choosing opposition leaders to head the all-party delegations. “When it comes to national duty, first comes the country, then the state, and then party and family.
Sule went on to say that PM Modi has shown a big heart by appointing Opposition leaders to lead the all-party delegation,” Sule said in Lok Sabha.
Recounting a phone call from Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Sule shared, “Kanimozhi ji is here, she is here. They received a call from Kiren ji. Kiren ji told her on the phone, ‘Supriya, you will have to give 10 days for the country.
Sule also questioned government’s handling of Operation Sindoor, saying it cannot be called a success until the terrorists responsible for the Pahalgam attack are caught. “Sindoor is not a success till you find those terrorists. Until you catch the terrorists, it cannot be celebrated,” Sule said. She referred to the anguish of victims’ families, recounting how one person from her area.
