Bhumi Pednekar launches own luxury beverage brand.
Renowned actress Bhumi Pednekar alongside her sister Samiksha recently launched a beverage brand, Backbay, with her sister Samiksha Pednekar as her co-founder.
Notably, for the past two years, the Pednekar sisters had been working on the brand and put up a manufacturing unit in Himachal, where they package “natural mineral water”. The brand has launched with selling water priced at Rs 150 for a 500ml packet and
Rs 200 for a 750ml packet.
Reportedly, the Pednekar sisters have given several interviews to promote the brand.
Amidst the interview, they opened up on the motive behind their brand, its name and the pricing of the product. Bhumi shared, “that It’s their own facility in Himachal where they have put up their own plant and are very proud of it. Their workforce is led by women because that’s just the kind of value system they wanted to inculcate within their brand. Their capacity is 45,000 boxes a day. She further shared that the packaging is unlike the plastic and glass bottle packaging often seen in the market. “
Their packaging is specifically called Gable Top Paper packaging and have also gone a step further. Their cap is actually a bio cap, adding that they are the only ones in India using this kind of packaging.
