Bobby Deol boards Yash Raj’s Spy Universe
With the Aditya Chopra and Yash Raj Film’s spy universe on its expansion at a rapid pace, Bobby Deol has boarded the YRF Spy Universe. This comes after Salman Khan (Tiger), Hrithik Roshan (War), Shah Rukh Khan (Pathaan), and Alia Bhatt (Alpha).
The announcement was made in War 2, that released on August 14. In this eagerly awaited action thriller, Bobby Deol has a cameo introducing his character.
While the actor is not allowed to talk about the subject, according to an informed source, “Bobby is very excited about stepping into the Big Spy Universe. This will be his first official tie-up with Yash Raj films. He has been asked to get into a specific body shape for the project.”
Bobby’s brother Sunny Deol has a history of friction with the Yash Raj banner. Decades ago, Yash Chopra had worked with him in Darr and, according to Sunny, the director focussed on Shah Rukh Khan’s character at the cost of Sunny’s. He has not worked with the Yash Raj banner since then. And neither has Bobby.
