Maharashtra Postal Circle releases special postcards to mark 50 years Of ‘Sholay’
In a bid to mark the golden jubilee(50 years) of Producer G.P. Sippy and Ramesh Sippy’s directorial “Sholay” the Maharashtra postal circle released two specially designed picture postcards and a presentation pack featuring an exclusive golden cancellation.
The Chief postmaster general, Maharashtra Circle, Amitabh Singh unveiled the commemorative items and presented the first album to Ramesh Sippy, the acclaimed director of “Sholay.” The event saw the attendance by the Sippy family and senior postal officials.
The launch attracted a large number of philatelists and film buffs testifying to the film’s enduring popularity.
