Anil Sharma downplays being credited for Priyanka Chopra’s success
Veteran filmmaker Anil Sharma in a recent media interaction dismisses being credited for Priyanka’s success. He affirmed that “It’s all her hard work,” prior to recalling how he first caught up with her on television when she was crowned Miss World. It was Priyanka’s beauty that impressed him. So he called her to his office and she reached his production house with her ex-army officer with her father Dr. Ashok Chopra. Anil Sharma recounted feeling an instant connect noting they were based in Bareilly at the time.
Sharma revealed that Priyanka emerged as the first actress he ever cast sans a screen test. Adding that after talking to her, he quickly handed over the cheque. He was aware she was a performer. The filmmaker further went on to add that her dedication, along with life experiences, shaped her into the international star and the status she is enjoying today.
The big-budget spy thriller, “Hero” with Sunny Deol, touted as the most expensive Indian film of its time, not only won for her an award for Best Supporting Actress but also marked the first step in a career that would turn her into a global icon.
Resonating on her personality beyond fame, Sharma hailed Priyanka as “a wonderful person” who continues to greet him warmly whenever they had bumped with each other.She doesn’t hesitate to leave her group when she spots him. Anil Agadmx However, she still maintains the

Notwithstanding the bond their share, Anil Sharma admitted that it has been a long time since they last met, as the actress very rarely visits India for work these days.
