EOW to approach Ekta Bipasha in Shilpa Raj Kundra fraud case.
In the ongoing Rs.60 crore fraud case against Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty, it’s learnt that the Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Mumbai Police is likely to approach actresses Neha Dhupia Bipasha Basu and producer-director Ekta Kapoor, to gather information over payments they received.
The case against Shetty and Kundra, along with some unidentified persons, was registered for allegedly duping a businessman of
Rs 60.4 crore.
The EOW’s move came after the couple has been charged and facing a probe over an alleged Rs 60 crore fraud Last Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd. The company was floated by Shilpa Shetty, Raj Kundra and actor Akshay Kumar. It’s touted to be India’s first celebrity-based teleshopping channel.
Plans are afoot by the EOW to seek details from Ekta Kapoor,Neha Dhupia and Bipasha over the quantum of money they received in exchange for promoting the company.
Reportedly, the wing will also ask them how the money was disbursed.
The probe team also believes that Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd parted funds to several celebrities for branding and promotional purposes. Adding that the company’s funds were allegedly misused, so every transaction is being scrutinised

loan-cum-investment deal related to Best Deal TV Pvt Ltd.
The complaint was filed by businessman Deepak Kothari, a director at a
non-banking financial company named Lotus Capital Finance Services.
Earlier this month, Lookout Circulars (LOCs) were issued against Shilpa and Raj with hopes that the truth will eventually come to light.
