Woman confronts metro co-passenger for littering
A woman identified as Krisha Doshii confronted fellow commuter for littering inside a metro coach as she voiced her frustration in a post on X. She wrote that the woman had consumed bhel in the coach and thrown most of it on the floor. When confronted, the woman said there was nowhere else to throw it. This is despite of repeated announcements eating is banned in coaches as well in metro station, yet people fail to understand. Lack in civic sense.
The woman also shared a picture of the woman and the littered floor but chose not to reveal the woman’s face.
In the comments section, several users shared their own encounters with people disregarding basic cleanliness in public transport.
“Really triggers me. Most of them are beyond reasoning with,” one user said.
Another added, “I confronted an uncle about why he was throwing garbage in the train. He replied casually, ‘Everyone throws it, nothing happens.’”
Social media posts regarding the lack of civic sense among some commuters have often gone viral, with users urging stricter enforcement of cleanliness rules inside public transport.
