Legendary actors Chiranjeevi, Jackie Shroff, Khushboo celebrate 80s with other bevy of stars who also gathered to celebrate the event.
The much-anticipated 80s Stars Reunion, a beloved annual tradition in the South Indian film industry, was held in Chennai on October 4, marking a heartfelt return following a
three-year hiatus.
The other actors who made it to the event included, Venkatesh, Sarathkumar, Rajkumar Sethupathy, Sripriya, Nadhiya, Radha, Suhashini, Ramya Krishnan, Jeyasudha, Sumalatha, Rahman, Khusboo, Bhagyaraj, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Lissy, Naresh, Suresh, Shobana, Menaka, Revathy, Prabhu, Jeyaram, Aswathi Jeyaram, Saritha, Banu chandhar, Meena, Latha, Swapna and Jeyashree.
Originally scheduled for 2024, the reunion was postponed due to the devastating Chennai floods. This year, the gathering was intentionally scaled down, not as a grand celebration, but as an intimate meet-up that celebrated friendship, unity, and solidarity in light of recent events affecting the state.
At the collective request of the actors, Rajkumar Sethupathy and Sripriya graciously hosted the reunion at their home, replacing the customary five-star venue.
A total of 31 actors attended, traveling from across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and even the Hindi film industry. The reunion was filled with warmth, reflection, and camaraderie, a reminder that the bonds forged in the 1980s remain strong despite the passage of time.
Throughout the evening, the actors shared memories, ideas, and reflections on cinema and life, celebrating the diversity and connections that unite them beyond borders and languages.
As dawn approached, everyone made their exit to their homes and workplaces, carrying with them the comfort of togetherness and the renewed strength of enduring friendship.
