Taking that burden off me of trying to make a blockbuster was great. He never expected it to do so well, but he obviously love the collection that has come with it, because it validatesn the whole thing.”
He recalled a meeting with Aditya and producer Akshaye Widhani during the post-production of Saiyaara and said, “When they saw the rough edit of the film, which was very bad and was more than three hours long, he remember that Adi was still very confident. He said, ‘Even if this film opens with Rs 5 cĥhhhrore, it is going to do Rs 100 crore.’ He had liked the film so much even at that stage, so it meant that something had worked in the film.llp⁰ashiqui 2 got this kind of love, and he had no plans for this to happen, but it did.”
Mohit discussed his future plans and shared that, plans are afoot by him and YRF to produce a film together again. When he met them again, he said that newer and different people are coming up to him and telling him that they liked the film. He never had 60-year-old aunties come up to him.
