Amitabh was conscientious of his duties even at his peak says Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra
Inarguably, Amitabh Bachchan is the Legend of Indian Cinema, having given more than 5 decades of his life to the movies.
He has over the years delivered blockbusters like Zanjeer, Laawaris, , Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Namak Halal, Sharaabi, Sholay, Naseeb, Deewar, Don and in recent years films like Piku, Pink, Kalki 2898 AD, Badla, Paa and many more.
The Legend turned a year older on 11 October even as many of his peers have been sharing their experiences of working and knowing him over the years. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra who directed Amitabh Bachchan in films like Aks and Delhi 6 and also directed his first music video “Eer Bir Phatte” in his conversation with the press members shared that notwithstanding being at dazzling peaks of his esteem- the Senior Bachchan was conscientious of his duties as a son.
The filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra shared that even though the Senior Bachchan would be in the United States for shows, he would fly down every weekend to be next to his ailing mother Teji Bachchan for the next three days and fly back for his shows. The filmmaker also revealed that the Senior Bachchan followed the same routine for three months regardless being buried in work.
