Ad Legend Piyush Pandey had strong Bollywood connect

Advertising legend Piyush Pandey, who breathed his last on Friday at the age of 70 even as he is known for the iconic ads of Cadbury, Vodafone, and Asian Paints, Pandey had a strong Bollywood connection. He was brother of popular singer Ila Arun (known for crooning Choli Ke Peeche, Ringa Ringa, Resham Ka Rumal and others) and noted ad director Prasoon Pandey.

told the media that her brother passed away due to pneumonia complications. He was in the ICU. As a sister, she can say he was a priceless brother and the life of their family. He was an ad guru who told long stories in 30 seconds.”

Apart from being the persona behind iconic Fevicol, Cadbury, Vodafone pug ads, was a part of John Abraham’s ‘Madras Café’ in which he movie in which he essayed the character of the Cabinet Secretary of India. Piyush had a large extended family of people who have been calling to share their grief. He was down-to-earth, proud, and always encouraged others with his words, “play from the front foot” emphasising
self-belief and giving one’s best in everything one does and adding that the family will always cherish his memory.

About Prasoon Pandey, he has earned international recognition and awards at Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, New York Festivals, Spikes Asia, and AdFest. The Gunn Report listed him among the top 25 advertising directors in the world.

As per reports Prasoon Pandey is set to make his directorial debut with a modern mythological thriller, bankrolled by MovieVerse Studios and Ellipsis Entertainment.
