The ridiculous part here is Trump wants to punish India for importing Russian oil and gas when the USA itself imports $955 million worth of Russian Uranium every year plus fertiliser and Urea; Europe buys billions of Dollars worth of gas from Russia

And that is of no consequence to Trump

And the best part?

India imports Russian crude, processes it into diesel and other products and sells the diesel to Ukraine!

You read that right!

Ukraine buys 13% of its diesel from India which is processed from Russian oil

But wait there is more

The Russian gas pipeline to Europe runs through Ukraine for which Russia pays Ukraine a fee even as it is at war with Ukraine!

So will US President impose tariffs (sanctions) on USA for buying $955 million worth of Russian uranium?

Remember Russian President Vladimir Putin stated to Trump’s face at their summit at Anchorage, Alaska “Russian trade with USA has risen by 25% ever since you have become President”

So who is financing Russia’s war with Ukraine?

Now let’s look at Europe

Recent figures for 2025

• Total Fossil Fuels: In September 2025, the EU imported Russian fossil fuels worth €906 million (approximately $983 million USD).
• Gas Imports: In the first half of 2025, the EU imported Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) worth €4.48 billion ($4.86 billion USD).
• Oil Imports: Some countries like Hungary and Slovakia continue to import Russian crude oil via the Druzhba pipeline, but the volumes are highly restricted under EU exemptions. 

So what sanctions is Trump going to impose on his NATO partner countries?

But nothing beats the fact that this crude oil and LNG passes through Ukraine from Russia to supply Europe for which Ukraine earns a fee!

So will Trump sanction the USA. Europe, Ukraine?
