Navya Nanda opens up on her refusal to enter Bollywood

Notwithstanding her connect with Bollywood Navya Nanda, granddaughter of Bollywood legend elucidates that she had no intent to be part of Bollywood as an actress. Chatting on Mojo Story, she clarified that, it was her desire to restrict herself to one profession that she is an entrepreneur, and will only do that. Nevertheless keep attempting on new things. She also feels that she gets an opportunity to learn a lot when dabbling in different things from assembling tractor to walking the ramp in Paris. Never wanted to be boxed into a category that this is what she is, but, wants to be in a position to do everything right now.
Navya Nanda shares memories of growing up with tractors and
revealed that her love for the business cropped up amidst her childhood. Even as many star kids spent time on film sets, she flourished around tractors and machinery.
She has grown up around tractors in Delhi and has assembled one on the shop floor from start to finish. She has also grown up around it so that’s all she knew and saw as a kid. So for her it is still the coolest thing ever. She gets much excited by tractors that her friends make fun of her. She really gets enthused on tractors.
Adding that her father, bua, dada, dadi spoke about tractors with so much excitement that for her as a young girl, it was never in her mind that something young girls are not interested in.
Navya Nanda aims to carry forward her legacy
by taking the family business forward in her own way. She shared, she wants to carry on this great legacy forward in her own capacity. She trained in the factory for 3–5 years before even setting foot into the corporate office. She thinks that’s how it should be starting from the scratch and says one need to start from scratch.
She also added, she is still making her way up, have a long way to go and certainly not at the helm of anything at present. It isn’t just she but the work, effort and delegation of so many people that carried forward the vision of her great-grandfather.
Navya holds stake in the company
and as per reports Navya is also a stakeholder in her family’s company, Escorts Kubota and owns a 0.02% stake in the company valued at around Rs 7 crore. The overall value of the firm stands at approximately Rs 40,000 crore. She is also pursuing a business degree at IIM Ahmedabad, which shows that she is committed to learning and preparing herself for future responsibilities.
